Yudkin Ury – Bass-Baritone, Israel

Ury completed his Bachelor of Music degree studies in Voice Performance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in the studio of Ms. Penina Schwartz.
He began his musical career in “Shachar” choir conducted by Gila Brill where he sang choir and solo parts.

He continued his vocal studies in the school for choir singing in the Lewinsky College where he studied with Lili Tuneh and David Zeba in addition he also studied with Bibiana Goldental and Prof. Mira Zakay.
During his studies in J.A.M.D. he has also participated in the Jerusalem Opera Workshop,
There he sang the role of ‘Ben’ in “The Telephone” and the role of ‘Mr. Gubino’ in “The medium” both by Menotti, as well as the role of ‘Enrico’ in “Lucia de la marmour” by Donizetti.
At the Jerusalem Academy Opera Workshop he performed in productions of
“La Rondine” and “Gianni Schicchi” by Puccini and the role of ‘Don Alfonso’ in “Così fan tutte” by Mozart.
Ury sang several times in the Academy’s children program where he sang parts of “The magic flute” by Mozart, "porgy and bess" by Gershwin, “Die Entführung aus dem Serail” by Mozart and “Carmen” by Bizet.
Ury sang the role of ’Olivier’ in the international premiere for the opera “Thérèse Raquin” by Aharon Harlap.
His last production as a student in the J.A.M.D. was a production of "die zauberflöte" (the magic flute) by Mozart were he sang the role of 'Papageno'.
In the last couple of years he is singing with the “Aeterna Opera” group in Jerusalem were he sang the role of ‘Zaretsky’ in “Eugene Onégin” by Tchailovsky and the roles of ‘Il commentator’ and ‘Massetto’ in “Don Giovanni” by Mozart.
Ury sang with several orchestras and ensembles including The Jerusalem Academy orchestra, The Israeli symphony Orchestra Rishon le-zion and the Jerusalem symphony Orchestra – IBA.
